Cripple Creek Jasper’s landscape pattern reflects the high desert plateau of the Owyhee Mountains in Southeastern Oregon from which it is mined. The Owyhee mountains are composed of 9-14 million year old rhyolite flows which are deep cut and terraced by the Owyhee river.
