Dendritic Quartz Ring Sterling Silver

Dendritic quartz is a clear or milky quartz with tree- or fern-like inclusions of iron, manganese, or other metallic oxides, which are called dendrites. Named from the Greek word for "tree."

While quartz is abundant, specific types with unique inclusions, like dendritic quartz from Paraiba, Brazil which contains the mineral gilalite, can be very rare, as so its this one. 

I set this pretty rock in sterling silver with minimal framing to really bring the focus to the stone. The inclusions look to me like dried flowers always immortalized in ice.
