Blackjack turquoise is mined in
Tonopah, Nevada, by the Otteson family. This rare variety of turquoise is known for its distinct blue and green ribbons set against a black chert matrix.
Even more rare is one with smaller dark matrix and larger pockets of color as the one here.
This Black Jack turquoise has been in my studio for many years. You can say I have been hoarding it. I decided to finally set it free to the world and have someone enjoy it as much as I have all these years.
